This is a solid six strip baitcasting rod designed for 3/8 oz. plugs which has evolved over a period of several years of casting on the tournament circuit. The original model was very close to a light action vintage Leonard. From experience and from the comments of some very talented tournament baitcasters, I modified the action so the tip 'lays back' longer, allowing the caster more time to make his stroke and also allowing the strong tip to really drive a flat trajectory plug to the target. It may be had with n/s slide band and hood or a locking aluminum reelseat of my own design and manufacture (locking aluminum seat $75 extra). Bamboo is flamed and wraps are brown.
