Brandin 964-2
~Brandin 964-2 wf/df HB single tip. 9'6" 2 pc/1 tip for #4 line, 4.3 oz. This is an improved version of the same model rod I fished most of last summer, the most significant difference being a firmer tip. You may read more details about these long, light-line rods and their development by going to the "Models in Development" page on this website. They are very much inspired by the rare E.C. Powell model called the 'Truckee River Special.' This rod is new with all the features as seen in the photos; wrap color and treatment are very much an homage to the work of E.C. Powell. As most of you know, the book I have written about Powell and his legacy is now available for sale also on this site. I very much like the Wulff Triangle taper or the Wulff Bamboo line, both in a #4 on this rod.
