Marty Karstetter 8 ft. 3pc 2 tips hollow-built for #5 line. This rod was built some years ago when Marty was still living and working in western Montana and before his move to Alaska; I'm not sure if he is still building or not. It is a very nice smooth action and benefits from Marty's style of hollowing giving it a light feel in the hand. His rods are known for their great casting qualities. I first met Marty many years ago while steelheading at Bob Clay's place in British Columbia and we have been friends ever since, often discussing rod action and the benefits of hollow-building. This rod remains in excellent condition throughout with no need for attention anywhere, having been lightly fished; it does show a slight loss of blue from the butt cap where it was scuffed. I have replaced the O-ring on the tube cap that is pictured as broken in the photo. From the Thomas H. Clark collection. SOLD
