R.L. Winston 7 ft. 2pc/2 tips 2½ oz
R.L. Winston 7 ft. 2pc/2 tips 2½ oz for #3 line. This little gem was built at Winston in Montana when Tom Morgan and Glenn Brackett were still together and well before the sale to the current owner. It was built for John McDaniel as a gift to his daughter Catherine, John being a well-known guide and angler on the Henry's Fork and author of Flyfishing the Harriman Ranch of the Henry's Fork of the Snake River. This is about as nice an example as you are likely to find from the golden era at Winston in Montana. Rod remains essentially mint appearing to have been used very little or not at all. It comes in original bag and a leather tube that I believe was made by Jeff Walker, a wonderful rod-maker in his own right who also worked with Glenn and Tom at Winston. You won't find a Montana Winston nicer than this.
