Leon Hanson 'Hanson Hollow' 8½ ft. 3pc/2 tips for #6 line, 3.55 oz. Leon's rods are in many ways the most evolved among modern makers working in semi-hollow construction. The 3.55 oz weight is astonishingly light for a rod with this power. Leon combines his innate understanding of tapers with progressive hollow-building and refined use of components to create rods at the very cutting edge of what is possible in bamboo. Built in 2016, this one remains in mint condition as it left his shop outside Detroit. The tips are built to be of different power, one being marked 'heavy' for use with larger flies, though both tips cast the same #6 line. In original bag with ferrule plugs and aluminum tube with model and rod information etched into the cap as is Leon's custom.
