Mario Wojnicki 252GF, 8ft. 3 in. #4 line 2pc/2 tips semi-hollow six strip rod. Mario tells me that this model is loosely based on my own 834-2df HB, a rod he is familiar with since we shared shop space for over 10 years in California. The primary difference in action between the two rods is that Mario's rod is more on the parabolic side of semi-parabolic, so slightly softer in the butt. The glass ferrule transition when the rod is assembled is the most beautiful I have seen, with a slim profile and wonderful color match to the bamboo. I watched Mario develop this ferruling system while we were both still in California and I believe his glass / composite ferrule is the best and most evolved ever built. This rod remains in mint condition with paper still covering the cork grip; you won't find a better example of this model. Current price from Mario for this model would be $4,200; save money and the wait and buy this beauty in original bag & labeled tube.
