Dickerson 8013D, 8 ft 2pc/2 tips 4¼ oz
Dickerson 8013D, 8 ft 2pc/2 tips 4¼ oz (written on rod bag). This very desirable model was built in the era just before WWII and remains in excellent condition. It is a particularly fast version of this model, casting a DT5 or WF6 line in typical Dickerson fashion. Rod is dead straight with perfect ferrule fits and the varnish excellent with no need for attention anywhere. Agate stripping guide and American pattern tungsten steel snake guides. Ferrules have been re-blued and the butt looks to have a very well done protective overcoat of varnish and the tube cap is not the original brass, but a well done aluminum replacement that works perfectly (Bob Summers' work?). Many people feel the 8013 is the Dickerson model to own and this is a particularly nice example. In original bag and tube with replacement tube cap as pictured.
