~ M. Wojnicki GF 245; 8'1" 2pc/2 tips semi-hollow 5-strip rod for #5 line; ser. #42615. These glass ferruled rods have the advantage of lighter ferrules that also allow continuous action through the ferrule. It took years for Mario to develop and perfect the design while we shared shop space in El Cerrito, CA in the 1990's and they are much more work than traditional nickel silver ferrules. This one shows signs of use such as the scratches that can be seen on the reel-seat, but the varnish and wraps are perfect as is the ferrule fit. Action is Mario's typical and distinctive semi-parabolic he has become known for. A very smooth and powerful, all-around trout rod. Comes in original bag and stamped tube.
