Brandin 865-3df HB; 8½ ft 3pc/2 tips, 4 oz 'Mahogany.'
~Brandin 865-3df HB; 8½ ft 3pc/2 tips, 4 oz 'Mahogany.' 8'6" semi-hollow hexagonal rod for #5 line. This rod, built in 2017, comes from my personal stash and has been lightly fished by myself only, remaining in excellent original condition. Action could be described as an improved Payne 204 with the added benefit of semi-hollow construction continuing well into the tips. The Mahogany finish gives the rod a dramatic and dark presence that is distinctive. Agate stripping guide and titanium carbide coated snakes, blued n/s cap & band over dark mahogany reel-seat and blued ferrules. I have built this model in the past using Swiss style ferrules, micro-Swiss for the top ferrule, but chose on this rod for myself to use step-down style ferrules which I feel are prettier and blend to the rod shaft more cleanly. In original bag with provision for ferrule plugs (included), and labeled brass capped tube. SOLD
