Dickerson 7012; 7 ft. 2pc/2 tips at 3¼ oz
~Dickerson 7012; 7 ft. 2pc/2 tips at 3¼ oz. This rod was built in 1951 for Dr. R.C. Ammerman and so marked on the rod; it was ordered through Art Flick on July 11, 1951. Art Flick was a great proponent and user of Dickerson rods. These short, light line Dickersons are exceedingly rare and this one is in excellent + original condition. I have cast the rod with both #4 and 5 lines and it handles them both, my preference being for a Wf5. Its positive action is distinctively Dickerson even at this short (for this maker) length. White agate stripping guide, bent wire hook-keeper, reverse half Wells grip and down-locking reel-seat with walnut spacer. There appears to be a touch-up to the tipping and edge of one wrap at the stripping guide, visible if you look carefully at the photographs. Original tan bag and original tube with a replacement cap made by Bob Summers and marked 'RWS' inside the cap. SOLD Click on smaller images to enlarge
