Bogdan Model 50 salmon reel
~Stan Bogdan model 50 salmon reel. This is to me the most useful of all Stanley's salmon reels; set up Left Hand Wind (LHW) and in single action and the perfect line capacity for most salmon or steelhead applications if fishing single handed. Fully ported spool and winding plate and a very wide range of drag tension. I own two Bogdan salmon reels, both single action as this is, a model 50 like this one, and a single action, fully ported model 00. For me the model 50 is the perfect salmon and steelhead reel if one wants a reel with adjustable drag, while for me the smaller 00 is more of a light salmon or steelhead reel when mostly smaller fish are encountered as in our Newfoundland fishing. In perfect condition, I see no indication this reel has had a line on it. In original buckskin pouch and original paper label from its first owner. SOLD
