~Goodwin Granger Special 8½ ft 3pc/2 tips, 4½ oz (on tube label). These Goodwin rods are such wonderful, classic instruments; smooth casting and full of the attention paid in another era. A smooth, rather fast action that I prefer with a #5 line. Rod is straight with good ferrule fits and original varnish is good throughout with some spots of bag sticking. I would leave it as is and take it fishing, though the varnish could be rubbed and polished to clean up the places where the rod has stuck to the bag. These spots are not bad and should clean up well should you so choose. Having seen a lot of rods over the years, I feel these old Goodwin rods are a steal for their inherent history and character and this is a particularly nice one. In original bag and labeled tube.
