Brandin 805-2 'P'
~Brandin 805-2 'P', 4¼ oz for WF6 or DT5 lines. This is a solid quad built in the last year (2021) whose design got its inspiration from the Paul Young Para 15. I built several of this model early in my career in Pleasantville, NY and it is only recently that I have again taken up occasionally building rods on this basic pattern. Like the Para 15, it is happiest with a WF6 line for me, though some casters would use a DT5. Wraps are a deep burgundy as the earlier rods of this pattern had, while the reel-seat is an up-locking slide band, a type of seat I have come to like for myself quite recently. Hardware is blued n/s over a mahogany spacer. Snake guides are hard coated and stripping guide is agate. Rod is in new condition and comes in original bag with provision for ferrule plug, labeled brass-capped aluminum tube, and outer tube bag. SOLD Click on smaller images to enlarge
