~Dickerson 861711-D, 8½ ft 3pc/2 tips. This example of Dickerson's work from the 1930's is in exceptional original condition, straight as a pin with perfect ferrule fits. A particularly nice example of this model with an action on the lighter side and with finer tips than usually seen on this model. It will cast a DT5 or WF6 line, with my preference leaning only slightly to the WF6. Interesting to me that most rod-makers seemed to be at the top of their game in the 1930's and this is no exception. The reel-seat has a walnut spacer and the earlier wide threaded barrel. This is one of the nicer Dickersons I have seen and it is a very useful model for a wide range of trout angling. Original cream bag with the model information written in Dickerson's hand and an early replacement non-original, but period tube. SOLD
