Brandin 806-2 'P'
~Brandin 806-2 'P' solid quad; 8 ft. 2pc/1 tip 4⅛ oz for #6 or 7 lines. I prefer this rod with a WF7 line and it will also handle a DT6; a great rod for grilse, light steelhead or larger trout. It remains in mint condition as our last two trips to Newfoundland for salmon have been cancelled due to the closed border with Canada, and has been lawn cast only. Action is parabolic, loosely based on the concept behind a Paul Young Para 15, but more powerful and transcribed to quad construction. My friend Art Warner describes tip tapers as on this rod as the "ice cream cone taper," dramatically fast to a fine tip. Stripping guide is agate and snake guides from Snake Brand, the reel-seat spacer is my standard mahogany. With ferrule plug, original bag (with storage for ferrule plug) and labeled heavy 6061 T6 brass-capped aluminum tube. SOLD Click on smaller images to enlarge
